Continuing Education
Our Water Damage #101 course includes a 200 square foot structure actually being flooded, with attendees benefiting from a “hands on” experience with extraction, weighted extraction, rotary extraction, drying equipment including air movers, and refrigerant and desiccant dehumidifiers, moisture detection equipment including penetrating and non-penetrating moisture meters, hammer probes, infrared cameras, etc. The course includes many large loss case studies and the results of each project.
Infrared camera, Rotary Extraction – Water Damage, Classroom, Mold Remediation
During our Mold Remediation presentation, we build containment, set up negative air and simulate mold growth within a structure. We then remove contaminated structural material, we show how to clean and remediate using wet wipe applications, HEPA vacuuming, and dry ice blasting, how to encapsulate, how to use a sander in conjunction with a HEPA vac to remediate, etc. This “hands on” course covers the basics of assessment, sampling, containment, remediation and post remediation testing. The course includes many large loss case studies and the results of each project.
Our state of the art classroom can hold as many as 25, and we can tailor a schedule for our “Restoration University” depending upon your specific needs. So far this year, we have had attendees including facility maintenance personnel from LSU, Entergy, Whitney Bank, The Advocate, the State of Louisiana Risk Management Offices, FEMA and many more. We have had architects, engineers, real estate and insurance professions, general contractors, and home inspectors attend our workshops.
